Update 11 Decembrie 2009 :

User Avatar Picture Haha, the posture of guardian angel of poor romanian ticket buyer of mister Guido is just sooo touching. How carefully he digged after all the infromation he can get about what happen in neighbour yard. Of course in his long statement he ''forgot'' to mention that all his effort was in order to find out if his bestfest will be undermine by a bigger event. His appeals to media are touching also, media is so unprofessional while ticketpoint and One Event are just victims of some crooks '' We are -together with a few other serious Romanian concert promoters-working like horses to give Romanian showbizz a professional profile '' bussinessmen complaining about their hard work sounds to me as funny as politicians promising messiah's second cumming in order to be voted. raspunde

Acu', lasand gluma la o parte: @promoter: I do agree with you, "no media would buy a story like this from an unknown company. But when it comes from a known romanian promoter, and it is indirectly confirmed by the ticketing company, it's easier to make mistakes." Still, I wouldn't blame TicketPoint, they had their share of loss, 10.000 euros, and they shown a high professionalism giving people the money back within 12 hours. But YES, One Event are to blame for everything that happened. raspunde

User Avatar Picture Dear Guido, Sorry to break your moment of PR glory, but you've been way to nice to the romanian counterpart. You know very well that both One Event and TicketPoint acted as "warrants of authenticity" for this hoax.PlayCool would have never succedeed in playing it "cool" like they did without One Event and TicketPoint involvement. Definitely they are not as guilty as PlayCool, but they do have their share, a very important one considering the fact that without them this hoax wouldn't have been possible. They saw a big piece of cheese and they bitten, not caring enough to check first if it's a trap or not. Beginners mistake, not something you would expect from two trustful companies. You blame it all on media, but no media, not even the romanian one, would "buy" a story like this from an unknown company. But when it comes from a known romanian promoter, and it is indirectly confirmed by the ticketing company, it's easier to make mistakes. raspunde

User Avatar Picture I have nothing but respect for you and your crew, guido. Thank you for giving Ticketpoint the opportunity to send my money back. But you put the finger on the wound accusing Romanian media. Like always, they are so full of shit! They don't have employees on the field, there's no one asking questions on the phone. When some newspaper publish some crazy news, the rest of media just use the copy/paste method to put those news onto their front page too. Unfortunately, Metalhead did exactly the same. But thanks again and see you at B'Estfest. I bought my ticket yesterday. raspunde

User Avatar Picture Thx M. Just to make sure that what I wrote/said (in English; din pacate) , pls allow me to post here again my integral text. Thx. So , what happened exactly ? Since the second part of last year (2008) Emagic was in competition with another promoter ( a real one !) to bring AC/DC to Romania. We entertain very close relationships with the bands exclusive agent (C.A.A.) , which is also the agency behind STING (Sala Palatului - Feb '09), SANTANA (B'Estfest headliner on July 4) , DURAN DURAN, ALANIS MORISETTE, etc.., Final news on AC/DC was : No show in Romania in 2009 because the band does not see Parc Izvor (the only place where we saw such a show possible) as suitable at this stage. End of story. Pity. Hopefully we get a propper stadium in 2010 and we can try again. On April 5, announcement of Bucharest Rock Arena (BRA). Made by PLAYCOOL ! PLAYCOOL ? Let's check the site. Hmm..doesn't look like much... You can vote for PINK FLOYD ? U2 ? AC/DC ? Haha... These guys... Funny... Most of the acts on the list are either NOT touring, NO longer existing , NOT playing festivals, NOT touring in that period, etc...Late april 1 joke, no doubt. Press release signed by Erhan Douhan. Let's check who this is on google. Nothing comes up. Let's check Playcool on google. Again nothing. Let's call some friends in the business in Israel. Who ? Nobody ever heard of Mr. Douhan. Okay... it's a (bad) joke. Clear. But why is the romanian press not asking themselves all of the above questions ? Shouldn't some journalistic alarmbells start ringing ? Did any journalist call us to find out what we know about it ? Nope. Okay, whatever. April 6... the journalists start 'telling us' ... it's U2, it's AC/DC .. AC/DC is 100% sure. Guns & Roses also ! Hmmmm.. Okay, better be safe than sorry. I e-mail AC/DC's agent. Immediate e-mail back : '100% not true. Try to find out more. We'll deal with it.' Okay, we gather all the info we can. Find out that PLAYCOOL SRL was set up on March 16, 2009 , has one shareholder and a founding capital of 200 Lei. Give all the info to AC/DC's agent. April 7, I leave for Belgium to get together with my family to celebrate Catholic Easter. Get home late on April 12. News! AC/DC officialy announced ! City full of posters ! Tickets selling like crazy ! I again inform the agent of AC/DC. Playcool chose their moment to 'run' their fraud well. They announced and started selling tickets in the catholic easter weekend when everybody in the west (agent, band, management, it-people, website hosts,...) is on holiday and not too much can be done from their end. I try to call Cristi Busuioc (One Events) to warn him (as I do believe that HE is innocent and is just being used by 'PlayCool'). He's in a meeting. I send him an sms to call me back after the meeting. He forgets. I call the people from TICKETPOINT. I warn them. I tell them NOT to pay any more ticketing money to PlayCool as I have solid information that this is a well prepared hoax to 'take the money and run'. TICKETPOINT says they will follow my advice. Luckily they did ! They promised me that all ticket buyers will get their money back! Great ! April 14 (yesterday), Cristi Busuioc gets in touch with CAA and finds out for himself that AC/DC has no intention to play any festival (or other show) in Romania this year. He's shocked. The 'official pressrelease' by PlayCool 'i.e. the festival has been 'amanat'' is just another lie. There will be no Bucharest Rock Arena organised by PlayCool ! Cristi makes it very clear in an official statement on Realitatea. He is now considering sueing his 'partners'. Waste of time Cristi. Go to the police. These are crooks. They should be put behind bars and/or never again be allowed to set a foot on Romanian soil! So... smart guys from Playcool huh. They played it cool indeed. Wanted to make some quick money and I am soooooooo happy that TICKETPOINT followed our advice and did not pay them the (majority) of the collected ticket money (Thx Andrei !). At least that !! But WHY, dear music journalists and well informed bloggers, WHY are you SO EAGER to give NEWS; just 'news'. UNCHECKED ! NOT CONFIRMED ON THE BANDS WEBSITE! FROM A SOURCE (PLAYCOOL) THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW ! FROM A SOURCE THAT PUTS 'PINK FLOYD' ON THEIR WEBSITE AS A BAND YOU CAN VOTE FOR TO APPEAR AT THEIR FESTIVAL ! FROM A SOURCE THAT ANNOUNCES 'THE BIGGEST ROMANIAN FESTIVAL 'EVER' JUST 6 WEEKS BEFORE THE DATE OF THE FESTIVAL ! YOU EVEN TURNED IT INTO 'THE ROMANIAN WOODSTOCK' WITHOUT THINKING TWICE ! WHY ? DO NOT ALL YOUR JOURNALISTIC ALARM BELLS RING ? SHOULDN'T THEY ??? In the meantime tickets in excess of 1.000.000 Lei (!) have been sold for this NON-Show.... And the money ALMOST left the country! I can only hope that it is a lesson for the future ! AC/DC is NOT a band that you can announce while on the OFFICIAL AC/DC site (www.acdc.com) there is no mention of this show ! 75% of the bands that you speculated on to be 'the second big international act on Bucharest Rock Arena' are NOT ON TOUR (but nobody seems to care). This is pure speculation in a stupid race to have a 'scoop' ! It's bad for the fans and thus for Romanian showbizz. Yes, I am angry... Sorry. But more than that, I am sad. We are -together with a few other serious Romanian concert promoters-working like horses to give Romanian showbizz a professional profile and I think we are doing a pretty good job in difficult circumstances, but please - media ... HELP ! Let's keep rocking, but let's stop being naive! See you at B'Estfest ? It's happening ;-) !!! Guido raspunde
