SUR AUSTRU (Transylvanian black metal)

Sur Austru is a new musical concept created from the ashes of Transylvanian black metal pioneers Negura Bunget. Gathering inspiration and emotions from the aesthetics of nature, ancient lore and forgotten rituals, Sur Austru is proposing a timeless journey into the mystical landscapes of Transylvania.

ALKONOST - epic-folk-metal since 1995 - Rusia

Band's history began in the second half of 1995 when Andrey Losev, well known among musicians from Naberezhnye Chelny bass guitarist, decided to start his own project. His attention was drawn to medieval music and russian folk melodies. After a year, in August 1996, Alkonost was born. Over the 24 years of its existence, the Alkonost group has given a huge number of concerts both in Russia and in Europe. It participated in such large festivals as RAGNAROK FEST (DE), NASHESTVIE (Invasion), CARPATHIAN ALLIANCE METAL FESTIVAL (UA), FOLK SUMMER FEST (RU), Moto-Maloyaroslavez (RU) and many others.The group has 8 full-length albums in its arsenal and listeners all around the world. Over 20 years band has gone through a lot of different things, but it's unique sound and special atmosphere remained, being band's distinctive features for all that time.

GJELDRUNE - folk/power-metal since 2010 - Rusia

Folk/Power metal band GjeldRune was founded 2010 in a small town near Moscow. 2012 they released their first single “Kolovrat” and begun concert activity. In years 2014 and 2017 the band released their LP’s, frequently playing in their country. Since summer 2017 the band largely increased their concert geography. Since then GjeldRune has played on festivals and clubs in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Switzerland and Romania. 2020 the band will release their third album and celebrate their 10th birthday.

FANGORN - Extreme metal with folk influences since 2008 - St. Petersburg, Rusia

Having started its activity in 2008, at the moment Fangorn holds one of the leading places

in the folk metal scene in Russia. Band took part in the largest festivals in Russia, such as

FolkSummerFest, as well as concerts in many European cities, and also participated in a full-

scale tour in Spain. In the asset of Fangorn there are 2 LP's, mixed in Finland by Anssi Kippo,

EP “Inferno” (2016) and several singles. Musical style of Fangorn is gradually developing,

getting away from classic folk-fantasy metal into more extreme experimental form of metal, still

with strong folk-ethnic influences. Latest Fangorn release is single “Voices From

Beyond”(October 2019), now the band is working on a new concept album promising many

unimaginable musical discoveries, that the group found in forgotten legends, abandoned villages

and ancient forests and marshes of misty land of Ingria – homeland of Fangorn members.

KATARA (melodic death metal)

Melodic Death Metal band from Arad (since 2014), with influences from several metal sub-genres, which takes its name from the Greek language, and means "curse". The main theme of the band are the "curses" of several types and seen from several perspectives, adding even short stories, through lyrics, closely linked to these "curses". The curse is a way of looking at the cyclicality of life, we are cursed to be born only to die, it is a passing life, which some regard as a bad thing.
