Kavarna Rock va avea loc anul acesta intre 2 si 3 Iulie

Organizatorii festivalului Kavarna Rock Fest 2016 au transmis urmatorul mesaj:

"Loud Concerts and Kavarna Municipalilty organize this year’s edition of Kavarna Rock Fest on 2nd and 3rd July. 

Headliner of the first night will be the legendary guitarist Axel Rudi Pell with his band.  The other bands playing on July 2nd are the brilliant Therion and the eccentric pagan metal band Varg.

The mighty Avantasia.will be the headliners on the second night. They’ve just confirmed the line-up with amazing musicians. The charismatic Tobias Sammet will sing in Kavarna along with Bob Catley (Magnum), Michael Kiske (Unisonic, ex-Helloween), Eric Martin (Mr.Big), Ronny Atkins (Pretty Maids) and Jorn Lande (Ark, Beyond Twilight, Millenium). Back vocals will be Amanda Sommerville (Trillium, HDK, Epica, Eina) and Herbie Langhans (Sinbreed, Beyond The Bridge, Seventh Avenue). Sascha Paeth (Heaven’s Gate, Aina, Kamelot) and Oliver Hartmann (At Vance, the tribute band Pink Floyd - Echoes) will be on guitars, Michael Rodenberg – on keys, Andre Neygenfind – bass and Felix Bohnke – on drums.

Other acts on the bill for 3rd July are the Swedish band Soilwork and the Franco-Tunisian metal band Myrath

The tickets for Kavarna Rock Fest 2016 are on sale at Eventim (www.eventim.ro). 

The tickets prices are: 27 Euro for a single day and 50 Euro for a two-day pass. Later the prices will go higher – 33 Euro per day and 56 Euro for the two evenings.

 Avem primele informatii despre Kavarna Rock venite din partea organizatorilor.

Primele nume confirmate sunt Avantasia, Therion si Myrath. Therion va urca pe scena pe data de 2 Iulie, iar Avantasia in ziua urmatoare.

The mighty Avantasia will headline the fest on July 3rd with a two hour show. That’s undoubtedly the most important rock opera phenomenon of our time. Tobias Sammet and company will play in Kavarna old compositions as well as such of their latest successful album “Ghostlights” released at the beginning of the year.

The project was created in 2000 and since then the charismatic ambitious musician, composer and song writer Tobias Sammet manages to create magical, parallel worlds with each release. 

The vocalist known also as the mastermind of the power metal giants EDGUY, (founded in 1992) - is one of the most internationally successful musicians to come out of Germany during the last few decades. Tobias Sammet already wrote rock history by selling more than three million records and by playing thousands of shows in more than 40 countries all over the world. 

As in their previous albums of Avantasia, in the latest “Ghostlights” there are again many great guest musicians: Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Marco Hietala (Nightwish), Sharon Den Adel (Within Temptation), Michael Kiske (Unisonic, ex-Helloween) and others. The world tour started in March and it is very successful – some of the dates were quickly sold out. This is the biggest band’s tour up to date. 

The Swedish symphonic metal band Therion will take part in Kavarna Rock Fest 2016 on 2nd July. Originally a death metal band, Therion was founded in 1987 and later it adjusted its musical style by adding orchestral elements, including choirs, classical musicians and even a full orchestra at their concert performances. As a result, it has popularized the symphonic metal genre.

Some of the band members have changed throughout the years but Christofer Johnson remains the mastermind who constantly looks for new ways for the band’s development. Their last studio album Les Fleurs du Mal (2012) is with covers of old French songs. Now the band works on a Rock Opera.

Meanwhile, the band tours successfully all around the world. At the beginning of last year they played at 70 000 Tons Of Metal and later had a mini-tour in Latin America. This summer the band will be part of Kavarna Rock Fest as well as Wacken Open Air and Sabaton Open Air.

The Franco-Tunisian metal band Myrath will also play in Kavarna. They’ve become a very enjoyed and respected band by the international Metal/Rock community. Their new album Legacy promises to rocket the band higher yet, with both European and North American tour plans and their most exciting album to date. The first years after they’ve formed in 2000 they played mainly metal covers but then they’ve started creating their own style – progressive power metal that mixes traditional Tunisian music and Metal enhanced by a balanced Arabian and western. The “Oriental Metal” gave them the opportunities to get opening touring slots with major artists like Dream Theater, Him, WASP, Tarja."
