Full-length, Massacre Records
December 19th, 2008    

The LP will be made available in three different formats: as three-disc deluxe edition including a bonus CD and a bonus DVD; a limited-edition digipack with a  bonus DVD and as regular jewel case CD. The three-disc deluxe edition will include a CD containing a recording of the band's performance at Germany's Rock Hard festival in 2006 and a DVD featuring footage of Legion of the Damned playing the entire "Cult of the Dead" album in the band's rehearsal room plus interview clips.

Ce sa combati Conte ? Ce ? Albumul suprem al ultimilor 10 ani in materie de thrash metal ? Tre' sa fii debil sa zici ca'i alfel !!!

Asta tre' sa'l pui pe post de sablon de acu' incolo pentru restul trupelor de thrash ca atunci cand vine agariciu ii zici : no shezi asha ma baiete ... ia da incoa tsedeu' matale ( ... ) Nup, ne pare rau ! Oricum l'am suci nu intra in sablon. Better luck next time !

Acu' ce'i drept ca se poa' sa vie si reversu' medaliei ... s'anume sa dea chix chear LotD cu urmatorul album, ca Feel the Blade reeditat, remasterizat a fost koi, asta este urmatorul nivel logic si ramane sa vedem ce cale vor urma pe viitor bajetii : prostitutie sau muzica. Da' pana atunci mai e ... asa ca ramanem in prezent la ce avem.

Chiar vorbeam aseara cu contele si cuina, la sedinta de spiritizm, ca dupa albumu asta, lotd o sash dea adevarata masura a valorii. Adica, e clar ca o vor pune cu vanzarile si vor atrage atentia adevaratelor hiene... Sa vedem, zic in ce parte vor trage pa viitorul album... Banu sau fanu? Par oameni seriosi dar, vb aia, sa mai vazt...

Afirmatie. E o trupa de thrsh'n'death europeana, deci e in topul trupelor europene de thrash'n'death.  Deja is un pic overrated, datorita conjuncturii favorabile, oferite de suferinta scenei europene de thrash/death. Din aceasta cauza toata lumea ii promoveaza, iubeste, invita si lauda.
 Apropos de ce zicea hellu mai sus: la anu o sa apara si editiile "japan limited".  :)

Pai tu iti dai seama ce ar inseamna sa cazi cu tronc publicului chinez ?  Te-ai scos... Platinele lui metallica o sa fie pipi. Reduci pink floydu la nivel de taraba. Te invita prefectu la un judet, stai on tour 6 luni si canti in fata la 50 de milioane.  :)

Si ai si loc, ca tocmai au proclamat G'n'R-ul un material veninos si l-au blocat pe piata. Asa ca un cult al mortilor n-are ce afecta sanatoasa ideologie de partid si poate sa incante tineretul constipat si icteric. ;)

am avut inspiratia sa ma uit ieri la clip.
dom'le, daca si alelalte's ca <<cult of the dead>>, le'a iesit un album maiastru.

mai multe pareri vin, cel mai devreme, cam intr'o saptamana, c'a iesit napalm death'u si zilele astea nu cre' c'o s'ascult al'ceva.

p.s. clipu', in sinea lui de chestie video, ie naspa. ;D

adevarat ce graeste porkku: cum poa sa sune pa mostra aia de perfectiune! pai, plm, la cum il am io, zici ca e tras cu reportofonu lu diplan in filmele cand joaca rol de ziarist... :-\ si dap, clipu nui mare jmekerie dar e facut de prezentare, oricum... fulgi de nea, vin sarbatorile, vin... vb aia, ce zi de lansare mai buna a albumului cult of the dead, decat ajunu?!

domnule, la auzirea atator cuvinte de lauda am zis sa incerc acest album..dar nu pot domnule sa-mi formez o parere clara despre el pentru ca un nene nush cine dracu este.. tot intra peste piese si zice niste vorbe.. si nu ma lasa sa ma concentrez..

in rest asa pare un album frumos.. dupa coperta cel putin...dar si muzical..

Mda, cam asta spune totu'... nush daca'i vorba de 10 ani, 9 sau 11, da'n scena thrasheristica (pentru ca, oricat s'ar chinui unii sa-i zica deathrash, deathu' nu'i decat o "glazura" aici) isi are lucu' lui, de care nu vad sa se apropie cineva cu succes.

deathrash... asta e o piesa sarcofago si, din cate stiu io, primii care sau intitulat astfel au fost the crown, vrand astfel sash esprime aderenta la deathu ala inca necopt, care continea thrash in proportie mai mare de 90%. deci da, deathu in deathrash e doar o poleiala si tine mai degraba de voce, baterie si sound, decat de tehnica si structura a pieselor. hmmm, desi la LOTD gasesti destul obituary si death early dayz...
 pa albumu asta, totush, potz spune ca ponderea e ceva mai mare si ca poleiala nui chiar cuvantul. oricum, albumu e thrash, procentual vorbind.

asa sa creeat o pseudodisputa si cand a aparut si arise-u, mai ales din cauza lu infected voice si a soundului mai apasat. da pe vremea aia nu exista deaththrashu ca indice taxonomic, asa ca a fost nevoie sa i se ia interviu lu max care spune ca e thrash. si daca asa spune el, aia e.

Ioi zic thrash modern sau apdatat. Nu ma dau in vant dupa jumatatile de masura in jeneral sim place sa las categoriile cat mai clare. Asa ca tot thrash ramane. ( am zis 10 ani la plesneala ... o sa verific cu metoda infailibila stitsvoicare cats ani sunt exact ;D )

holbandu-ma la tolba de aprecieri ce a strans albumu aista m-am pus pe ascultare chitit sa-i gasesc hibe, lipsuri, galme, si alte d'astea ... ie greu sa'i imputi una'alta pentru ca odata ce tavalugu' vine dansu' te trage numaidecat in valtoarea creata prin colectia de riffuri taioase,furibunde, printr-o sectie ritmica ce presteaza intr-un mare fel si o voce dracoasa, posedata ... ie bun bun; deja piesa de titlu reprezinta pt mine una dintre cele mai misto ever ... bah da' baetii astia nu stie a soloui ori ce, daca avea si d'astea pe felie intra in Hall of Famu' propriu si personal

PS. ascultat in premiera inspre/dinspre votare ... nici nu stiti ce bine mi-a prins  :D

este LOTD allright, insa n-as putea spune ca sunt la fel de incintat ca si atunci cind au iesit celelalte albume (mai ales sub titulatura occult). merite are (fapt aproape incontestabil) dar stiu si io daca are atit de multe?

pentru ca se vorbea mai sus despre deathrash, abia de la necrosophic rapture (si terminindu-se tot pe acolo) oamenii arata ce stiu sa faca. cam putin, pentru apetitul meu.

will do. de-altfel, already did. tot n-am obtinut rezultate marete. cel mai nasol cu trupele/albumele astea e ca ridica pragul asteptarilor cu fiecare album, neputind totusi sa o faca la infinit. si atunci cind apare un album care stagneaza, deja incepi sa circotesti...

in my hown & pershonal hopinion nu vad neci o stagnare la alb asta.
daca 'malevolent rapture' a fost cutitul si 'sons of the jackal' pistolul

asa o turma de riffuri bine hranite, cu blana groasa si coarne tari si lucitoare,

albume/demo-uri scoase in 2008 (numai bune pentru a avea termene de comparatie cu LOTD):

final breath - hold your breath
the scourger - dark invitation to armageddon
no return - manipulated mind
talion - gluttony will prevail
diabolical - gallery of bleeding art
lich king - toxic zombie onslaught (pentru ashtia am o simpatie profunda. iata un motiv - "black metal sucks")

beton album. pentru mine, peste ultimul LOTD.

albumele insirate mai sus sunt insa toate de deathrash (de-aia ziceam ca pot fi folosite ca termene de comparatie. este posibil ca LOTD sa iasa putin sifonat la un duel cu ele).

bune, nu zic, da nau nicio sansa contra LOTD. ia ce album vrei.
si, ca tot ai zis de occult. pai, marea diferenta intre occult si lotd e faptu ca primii nu il aveau pe moris la voce. handicap insurmontabil, zic eu.

p.s.: haiosi lici king aia. ca in vremurile de aur, ce sa mai. doar ca cult of the dead e ca in vremurile de aur la patrat.  :P

te contrazic!

intr-adevar, poate nu toate albumele de acolo iau fata la LOTD. insa la o comparatie intre ultimele albume ale LK (cel putin) si LOTD, eu as merge pe primul. este deathrash de la cap la coada. din pacate, LOTD incepe cu asa ceva de pe la "necrosophyc rapture", care este piesa 7 de pe album. nimeni nu contesta meritele albumului, cred ca aproape toti spunem ca ne asteptam la ceva mai mult de la ei.

p.s. am spus ca LOTD iese putin sifonat, nu bumbacit rau de tot  ;)
