Rezultatul colaborarii dintre METALLICA si LOU REED - "LULU" va fi lansat la 31.10. a.c. si 01.11. in state.

Proiectul a fost inspirat de doua piese ale dramaturgului german Frank Wededkind http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Wedekind ("Earth Spirit" si "Pandora's Box,") - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lulu_%28opera%29 , care trateaza viata unui tanar dansator.
Lou Reed a spus despre colaborarea cu Metallica: "este probabil cel mai tare lucru facut vreodata de cineva".

Vorbind cu o publicatie americana despre colaborarea cu Metallica si muzica pe care o face pentru productia "Lulu" (un musical bazat pe povesti scrise de Frank Wedekind), Reed a declarat:
"Nu cred ca Metallica ar vrea sa fie o trupa de Broadway. Sunt metalisti. Nu vor face asta. Dar versiunea lui "Lulu" pe care am facut-o cu Metallica este o inspiratie inaltatoare. Este poate el mai bun lucru facut vreodata de cineva. Ar putea naste un nou sistem solar. Nu glumesc si nu sunt egocentrist".
Despre felul in care versiunea Metallica a muzicii din "Lulu", Reed a declarat: "Exista doua povesti pe care Lulu este bazata, iar eu am rescris-o urmarind povestea originala, din punctul de vedere al lui Lulu si al variilor indivizi care o iubesc, pana il intalneste pe Jack Spintecatorul. Asadar versiunea Metallica va avea toate acestea, ba chiar si mai mult. Probabil va fi gata prin noiembrie."

RCA's Waylon Jennings tribute album, "I've Always Been Crazy", featuring METALLICA guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield on a solo cover of "Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out of Hand", will be released Aug. 19 after being bumped from its original April date.

Hetfield's contribution comes from Jennings' September 1978 release, "I've Always Been Crazy". The process was unique for James as he not only sang, but played all the instruments (including the drums!) on the track. The song was produced by Bob Rock at the METALLICA HQ in San Francisco.

The record is based off of German expressionist Frank Wedekind's early 20th century plays Earth Spirit and Pandora's Box, and were a rewrite of Edgar Allan Poe's, The Raven, which emerged as a graphic novel on Fantagraphics Press. Some of the song titles set to appear on the album include, "Junior Dad," "Little Dog," Mistress Dread" and "Pumping Blood."

Ba! 'tallica o ard pe un nivel, destul de inalt, se vorbeste la termen de sefie... doar pen' ca e vorba de unii de au slefuit misto un gen, au fost in hall of fames yadda yadda... ar fi anormal sa arate lucrurile altfel...

Si dupe aia, cand se ajunge la articole cum e asta de la roadrunner, tot artistii sunt ghei? Pai de ce? Baiatu' ala a fost chemat la o statie radio, pentru ca e caterinca sa chemi pe cineva de la 'tallica si doar zicea ce simteste... mare scula... Si again, nu e logic ca toate webzine-urile si revistele sa faca atata articolul pe tema asta?
