God Forbid este o trupa de
thrash metal, influentata de trupele metalcore din zona New Jersey. In primii ani de activitate,
formataia a sustinut cateva turnee alaturi de Nile, GWAR si
Cradle of Filth. Primul album, a fost lansat in 1999. Ulterior, discul a avut o promovare foarte
buna in special in zona New York.
Urmatorul album Determination, a fost lansat sub egida Century Media Records. Casa de discuri le-a oferit si un turneu alaturi de Shadows Fall si Lamb of God. In 2004 God Forbid au lansat Gone Forever, album prezentat in cadrul Ozzfest. A urmat IV: Constitution of Treason, un disc concept despre sfarsitul lumii. In 2005, a urmat un turneu alaturi de Trivium, Mendeed si Bloodsimple. Momentan, trupa lucreaza la un DVD care va fi lansat in ianuarie 2008.
