Agalloch este o trupa americana de dark metal formata in 1996, in Portland, Oregon. A fost formata de catre John Haughm si Shane Breyer. La inceputul lui 1996, piesele au inceput sa fie produse de cei doi, iar ulterior Don Anderson s-a alaturat componentei. Piesele au fost incluse pe demo-ul From Whitch of This Oak . Materialul a fost puternic influentat de black metal, iar la scurt timp dupa lansarea casetei, Jason William Walton a devenit basistul Aggaloch.
