Trupa germana Mekong Delta s-a infiintat in 1985.

Formatia a inregistrat un prim demo in urmatorul line-up:
Jochen Schroder (ex-Rage) chitara
Peavy Wagner (Rage) bass
Jorg Michael (ex-Rage and Paganini) tobe
Wolfgang Borgmann voce
Albumul de debut s-a intitulat Mekong Delta si a aparut in 1987, avandu-l ca producator pe Ralf Hubert.
In 1998, primele sase albume au fost reeditate de catre acelasi Ralf Hubert, dupa care, peste
numele trupei s-a asternut pentru un timp tacerea. Au existat chiar zvonuri potrivit carora
Ralf ar fi murit.
La sfarsitul anului 2005, Ralf se intalneste cu chitaristul Peter Lake si trupa revine in
atentia publicului.
