The Big Four - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth si Anthrax - au sustinut primul concert pe continentul american in data de 23 aprilie la Empire Polo Club din Indio, California in fata a peste 50.000 de oameni.
Jeff Hanneman, chitaristul Slayer, a urcat pe scena pentru a canta South Of Heaven si Angel Of Death (Gary Holt l-a inlocuit pe parcursul set-ului principal).
Set-ul Metallica a inclus piese clasice precum Enter Sandman si Hit The Lights. Membrii Anthrax, Slayer si Megadeth s-au intors pe scena pentru a canta alaturi de Metallica piesa Am I Evil? (Diamond Head) extrasa de pe albumul de debut 'Kill 'Em All.'
'Vrem sa multumim tuturor celor care au sustinut aceste patru trupe in ultimii ani. Nu doar pe noi ci toate trupele care inseamna ceva pentru voi. In numele scenei metal va multumim.' au declarat Metallica.
