Cum era si normal avem si un interviu cu PRIMORDIAL, sau mai bine zis cu Alan. Il puteti citi mai jos. Cat de curand vom reveni si cu un interviu surpriza.
1. First of all, hello to all of you. You are back in Romania. How was it when you first performed here? How was it at Metalhead Meeting last summer?
We first came in 2002 or 2003 I think. Of course you can see the effects of further integration into the EU since then among other things and we have been back several times since then. That gig was great, ok it was daylight but the reactions were great, we always enjoy coming back
2.'Where Greater Men Have Fallen' is one of my favorite albums launched in 2014. Who was responsible for writing the lyrics and the music for this album? And where came the inspiration from when writing 'Where Greater Men Have Fallen?
- It’s all in the liner notes :)
I write the lyrics and Ciaran comes up with 75% of the music and we all structure the songs together. The inspirations are many, just this dark world we are living in is enough.
3. What should we expect from you for this concert in Romania? Will it be a musical journey through all of your discography?
- I really don’t know, we haven’t made the setlist yet
4. Tell something that you regret when it comes to Primordial and your musical career.
- That’s not really my style to be honest. There are a couple of things that could have been done differently but they are as they are
5. Now, from my point of view, Primordial has a unique sound, but could you tell us who were the artists and the bands who influenced Primordial in the beginning?
- Sure….Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Celtic Frost, Hell Hammer, Bathory, Venom, Slayer, Megadeth, and then all the early black/death/doom underground stuff of the time was very inspiring
6. What's your favorite Primordial album and why?
- I don’t have one. I have songs I prefer to play live but they all have various reasons for being special.
7. If you could play in any other metal band, which one would you choose?
- haha…..can I be the bassist in Dokken?
8. Which was the most difficult moment for Primordial as a band?
- There are always problems and things to overcome but maybe things have been harder around 1997 or so 1998 but it’s never been easy
9. One final thought for your fans and our readers?
- Joy and strength. Carpe mundum
