black metal, formata in 1991 in Irlanda de catre Pol MacAmlaigh si Ciaran MacUiliam. Vocalistul
Nemtheanga s-a alaturat trupei in acelasi an. Trupa a
incorporat elemente specifice Celtic Frost si Bathory pe care le-au inclus aproape in fiecale album
scos pe piata.
Dupa discul de debut, Imrama, Primordial au fost caracterizati drept melodic black metal, insa gradual au ajuns la un amalgam de black, celtic si folk metal. Cel mai recent album se intituleaza To The Nameless Dead si a aparut pe data de 24 noiembrie 2007. Este probabil cel mai bine cotat disc din cariera formatiei.
