Biserica Baptista ameninta cu proteste la funerariile lui Jeff Hanneman

Biserica Baptista din Kansas si-a anuntat intentia de a protesta la funerariile chitaristului Jeff Hanneman, amenintand ca vor canta o 'parodie' a piesei 'Crazy Train', semnata de Ozzy Osbourne.
Grupul Baptist din Westboro a ajuns de mai multe ori pe primele pagini ale ziarelor in urma unor proteste anti-gay la funerariile soldatilor americani, indiferent de sexualitatea acestora. Strategia cu parodia 'Crazy Train' nu este deloc noua.
'Sunt socat si dezgustat de aceasta parodie menita sa promoveze mesaje pline de ura, toate acestea venite din partea unei biserici.' declara Ozzy Osbourne.

Aceeasi forma de protest a fost folosita si la funerariile lui Ronnie James Dio. Osbourne a atacat dur Biserica la acea vreme: 'Cum este posibil ca acesti oameni sa protesteze liber la funerariile unui om? Este pur si simplu dezgustator. Si spun de noi ca suntem anti-cristi. Cu ce sunt ei mai buni?'
Presa descrie Biserca Baptista Westboro drept 'o comunitate din Kansas ce sustine ca moartea americanilor in Afganistan si Irak este defapt o pedeapsa pentru toleranta americanilor fata de avort si homosexualitate.'
Jeff Hanneman a decedat in data de 2 mai, in apropiere de locuinta sa din California de Sud.
