Courtney Love a scris o noua piesa intitulata "Justice For Kurt"

Courtney Love are o melodie noua intitulata „Justice For Kurt”, dar artista nu o va include pe noul ei album. Intr-un interviu cu Marc Maron pe podcastul WTF, Love a spus ca melodia va umbri restul pieselor de pe album si considera ca fanii ar putea fi „too stupid” sa nu se concentreze asupra ei.
Desigur, cantecul se refera la unii fani care cred ca Love si-a ucis raposatul sot, solistul Nirvana- Kurt Cobain- desi cauza oficiala a decesului sau a fost sinuciderea.
„We wrote a secret song that we can't put on [the album] 'cause it's only two minutes and 24 seconds, but it's a rock song," a spus Love. Cand a fost intrebata de ce nu a vrut sa-l includa pe album, ea a raspuns: "It's called 'Justice for Kurt,' and it's great, but we're like, 'Okay, they're too stupid.' It would swallow the entire narrative. Rock does not stream".
„It's not worth it. It's 2:24, it's an earworm and a half. Okay, if I'm going to write a f*****g song called 'Justice for Kurt,' it's going to be a f*****g earworm. But I am not putting it on that record to ruin my record, right? Like, I do not need Kurt ruining more of my s**t, okay? Thank you. Love you, but no."
Love a remarcat mai tarziu ca „it's still [circulating] that I'm this psychopath that killed him" and also mentions that "When I go online, I have to see that. My daughter has to see that too.". Totusi, Love pare ca vrea sa lanseze melodia, adaugand ca ar putea aparea la aproximativ opt luni dupa inregistrare.
