Metalhead: Hello, tell us a bit about Magnetic. I know you guys started in 2012:

Magnetic: Hi, yes the idea for the band is started back in 2012 but the new concept is from late 2014. Before that the songs and music style were very different from the sound after. The only member from 2012 is our drummer who, however, took over the band and changed his gaze.

The first overview came in 2015 when we were in full line of five-person band and we started our gigs. Things have changed over the years to 2018, so we can now be what we are, we've changed a bass guitarist too.

Metalhead: What are your influences as a band?

Magnetic: That’s a little big hard question for Magnetic, because we are five fully different persons. Our drummer takes on jazz music, sophisticated rhythms, but he also likes the modern things. But he has inspiration from bands like Sabbath and Zeppelin too, so you can hear it in some of our songs. The rhythm guitarist and the bass player are more related to punk, trash music and aggression in the music at all. The vocalist is more lyrical and melody oriented, but he likes the hard screaming of bands like Lamb of god and Gojira. Our lead guitarist is very young and he likes the most modern things at all, he is a corrective and helps us to sound well among the younger ones. Nevertheless, the "Magnetic" project goes unmitigated and all the songs and arrangements are connected to one - each of us is pleased with the final product. Each piece shows that it is "Magnetic" and there is no wandering.

Metalhead: This year you played at the Rock Camp Festival in Romania. How was that experience for you?

Magnetic: We have waiting for that moment with no patience and our expectations were satisfied. To be on the big stage with bands like “Firewind” and “Jinjer” and to be co-headliner in the third day, right before “Sinoptik “ – the feeling was great and like no other before. We did our best and and the crowd exploded and gave us the same. Great three days for every one of us.

Metalhead: What did you think about Romanian metalheads and what would be the difference between them and the Bulgarian public?

Magnetic: Our two gigs in Romania where both blowing and the audience loaded us a lot. We feel great hospitality in your metalheads and we believe it will continue to be so. Some people know some of our songs and it was great to hear it outside our country. We don’t know if it’s the same with your local underground bands or it’s because we are foreigners. In Bulgaria we are welcome in every city and the shows are great every time, but in the capital there are a lot of underground bands and gigs and you can’t make a concert every month.

Metalhead: You are going to play in four cities from Romania. Any special planned for this tour you would like to share with us?

Magnetic: We are planning to play long sets of the best we have in all four cities and to give to you 100% of us completely! We have prepared two hours of great show each night and will be good. We intend to have a great time looking at your country and your people. We have one day off in it too and we intend to use it to explore interesting and historical things around you.

Metalhead: When can we expect a full Magnetic album? Is it in the works at the moment?

Magnetic: Maybe next year, who knows. We have a lot of songs, we have music for two albums, but nowadays it’s early for it. Metalhead: You released the "Show Him Who You Are" EP in 2016. How was it received by the public?

Magnetic: The records are not the best, but this mini album was at the very beginning of our music career and served as a stick between members for us. Everyone have learned something about himself and something about what “Magnetic” is for him back in these days. The EP was very well received and that was the beginning of our touring.

Metalhead: What's the message of 'Back to My Soul'? Any interesting stories about your latest video? Where did you shoot it?

Magnetic: Our songs are socially focused, all of them. “Back to my soul” is a song about the drug addiction and about how you lose everything around it. This is the confession of an addict in a moment of agony. We shoot it in the building where we do our rehearsals and the video production is done by our friends from other Bulgarian underground band. The beautiful girlin it is a Bulgarian actress who has done a perfect job. We all think we gave our best at the moment and we hope it will be successful.

Metalhead: What new underground bands from Bulgaria should we listen to at this moment?

Magnetic: You must listen every of Bulgarian bands if you can. Now in Bulgaria we have every kind of metal and Bulgarians are doing it very well. We have the accessibility now (because we don’t have it back in 80s) and we are learning how to do the things properly. Maybe you can’t believe me, but I can list you at least 50 Bulgarian bands that are worth it.

Metalhead: Are you guys familiar with Romanian bands? Which ones do you like?

Magnetic: We don’t have much knowledge about Romanian metal, we are new on your land, but there are two bands that made us very impressed. The first one that made a great show at “Rock Camp Satu Mare Open Air” is “Ska-nk” and their punk rhythms and interesting compositions.

They were very well received from the fans on the festival too. The second one is “Purple Caravan” who are youngsters and their stoner is very interesting and modern. We are thinking that they have a big perspective in Romania for the future.

Metalhead: Send a message to Romanian metalheads that will come to your show:

Magnetic: We promise that from 02 to 06 October there will be four absolutely uncompromised long, strong, headblowing metal shows from us in every of the clubs in the tour! Show us that there is metal in Romania J.
