JACOBY SHADDIX de la PAPA ROACH a urcat pe scena impreuna cu EVANESCENCE la ROCK AM RING din Germania

Solistul PAPA ROACH, Jacoby Shaddix, s-a alaturat trupei EVANESCENCE pe scena pe 3 iunie la festivalul Rock Am Ring din Nurburgring, Germania, pentru a interpreta hitul revolutionar al lui EVANESCENCE din 2003, „Bring Me To Life”.
In august anul trecut, „Bring Me To Life” a cunoscut o renastere la 19 ani de la lansarea sa initiala. Piesa, care a ajuns initial pe locul 5 in Billboard Hot 100 din S.U.A. si a fost primul single nr. 1 al EVANESCENCE in Marea Britanie, a urcat pe locul 1 in topul iTunes din SUA.
"I remember what I wrote 'Bring Me To Life' about, because I wrote it about my current husband before we were married," a declarat aceasta.
"There was this moment — I was in a tough place and in a bad relationship. And my husband now, Josh, at the time was just a friend and a person that I barely knew; it was maybe the third or fourth time we'd ever met. And we went in to go grab a seat at a restaurant while our friends parked the car. And we sat across from each other, and he looked at me and he just said, 'So, are you happy?' And it took me so off guard, and I just felt Like it pierced my heart, because I felt like I had been pretending really well, and it was, like, somebody could see through me. And then that whole first verse came out of it: 'How can you see into my eyes, like open doors.' It really made me feel and recognize the sense of yearning that I had to get to a better place. And it really kind of set me out on a journey. And it's amazing that that became the song, the first song that broke us on to the scene and made everyone hear of us, because it was about something — I don't know — something so personal that I was recognizing in my life."
In februarie 2022, videoclipul trupei EVANESCENCE pentru „Bring Me To Life” a depasit un miliard de vizionari pe YouTube. Clipul regizat de Philipp Stolzl, care a fost incarcat pe YouTube in decembrie 2009, a fost filmat in Romania in ianuarie 2003. O prezinta pe cantareata Amy Lee intr-o camasa de noapte, desculta, in camera ei, in interiorul unei cladiri inalte din oras, noaptea. Restul trupei canta la un etaj superior al cladirii.
Versiunea albumului „Bring Me to Life” – care a inclus vocea invitatilor lui Paul McCoy din 12 STONES – a fost inclusa pe coloana sonora a filmului cu supereroi „Daredevil”.
Cel mai recent album al lui EVANESCENCE, „The Bitter Truth”, a fost lansat in martie 2021 prin BMG. A fost primul album de muzica originala al lui EVANESCENCE in zece ani.
