Versuri THEUDHO - Blt

Album: THEUDHO - Treachery

[The Old Norse word "blt" (Old English "Bltan") originally means "to strengthen" and is now used
to refer to heathen sacrifice. The oldest form of this practice consists of laying down offerings
near sacred places as bogs, falls, rocks and trees. Sacrifices can be made for good harvest,
fertility and victory in combat.]

"Veistu hve rista skal?
Veistu hve rda skal?
Veistu hve fa skal?
Veistu hve freista skal?
Veistu hve bidja skal?
Veistu hve blta skal?
Veistu hve senda skal?
Veistu hve sa skal?"

"Sigrnar skaltu kunna,
Ef vilt sigr hafa,
Ok rista hjalti hjrs,
Ok nefna tysvar T."

Hail to Day!
Hail to the sons of Day!
To night and her daugher hail!

With placid eyes
Behold here,
And here sitting
Give us victory

Hail to the sir!
Hail to the Asyntur!
Hail to the bounteous earth!
