Turisas au fost desemnati trupa anului 2011 in cadrul galei Finnish Metal Awards, organizata sambata in capitala Finlandei cu ocazia Helsinki Metal Meeting.
Votul a fost unul public, fara nominalizari predeterminate, transmis pe imperiumi.net de la inceputul lunii decembrie pana la inceputul lunii februarie si a strans un numar de 20567 de voturi unice.
Cele mai bune trupe din Finlanda au fost premiate in a saptea editie Finnish Metal Awards in nu mai putin de sapte categorii:
